Montreal

WAS AWESOME. Last week me, my husband , my sister and her husband decided to do a little weekender. We decided to go to Montreal. There was the train. Or Airplane, Or plain driving. We decided to drive. & so glad we did. The airplane would have been a hassle for such a small trip & the train takes up a whole day. PLUS it was actually cheaper to drive, and then of course we had the luxury of having our vehicle with us. Of course we didn’t really use it since we were in the city, ha, but the option was there. The night before we left for Montreal we decided to hit up Quebec for the day as well. Everyone always decides to go somewhere sunny for weekenders but Montreal was perfect. Chilly but perfect. The city is alive at night, and the shopping is fun during the day. Coupled with the amount of Brewerys and you are good to go. Our favorite place to eat was a place called Holder. SOOOOO GOOD. & the service was exceptional. I will definitely go back there next time. We stayed at the St. Paul hotel. I also completely recommend this hotel. Our view was cool, and the sunrise on the first morning we were there was picture perfect.

Freehold Couple's Session

Just got back from a great shoot in Freehold. The Rain held off and the wind died down and it couldn’t have been better. EXCEPT IT WAS. I found 2 broken down chairs in an alley and we used them and it was worth it.

Jersey City's Liberty State Park Family Session

This past weekend I had the great pleasure of photographing one of my favorite clients and her familia. I call this the Yummy family photo session. I simply adore Jennifer and her family. They are so adorable you could eat them up. Me and Jennifer first met when I photographed her friend’s wedding and then when I photographed her wedding and it has been a pleasure every time to photograph them. This session was in Jersey City right in Liberty State Park. What more could you ask for on a November day. Awesome weather and an Awesome view were already there.

New Jersey Bridal Sessions

Today despite the cold windy weather I had 2 really awesome Bridal Sessions.
Working again with my favorite crew. Jesi & Michael.
Estrella was our first Bride. and EVERYTHING about her shoot was so awesome. the Colors. the textures, the lines, EVERYTHING.

Then we had Melissa’s Bridal session. WOW is all I can say. Everything again came together so sweetly!. Even the rushing of night time. Which I don’t usually love cause I like to have all the time in the world when I do bridal sessions but this time of year always limits my time and limits it quickly.   This is LOVE LOVE.

Steve and Jessica at Addison Park

I have been looking forward to this wedding since I met with Steve and Jessica. Why? Because I knew it was going to be good times. And I knew this because I photographed the grooms cousins wedding a few years before and their wedding was good times. And today was definitely GREAT TIMES! AND among all the crazy weather we have been having and are due to have Steve and Jessica really walked away with a PERFECT fall day at Addison Park. Addison park is a really nice place. However I do have two annoyance about them. As we were doing photos in the lobby where the bride wanted her photos it was getting close to ceremony time and people were starting to show up. Mind you the ceremony was outside and they did not have to go inside  at all to get to the ceremony. I am right in the middle of a family portrait and the head waitress walks in a group of people through the lobby right through where we are shooting. I couldn’t believe she did that. And the Bride was upset that it kept happening and that they kept letting people in the Lobby when they did not need to be. Like all brides she wanted to be a surprise to her guests. (her fiance had seen her at this point) I had to say  something, which i thought was common sense but apparently it wasn’t. So I said listen can you please guide the guests outside of the doors to the ceremony (which was right around the corner) instead of bringing them inside and then directing them.  Which they did finally do. And the bride thanked me. I just found that to be really rude of the head waitress to do this. & then I was moving a chair for a photo and was told I can’t move it the owner doesn’t want furniture to be moved around. Which I understand if i was moving tables and so forth. but a CHAIR?! We moved it anyway and took a great shot with it.  Sometimes I have to sacrifice the venue liking me for great photos. The photos will always win.

This past weekend I photographed Marlo and Joe’s wedding as an Associate photographer for a good friend of mine Jon Arcara Photography. What an awesome wedding!
